MTV, with its obsession with reality shows, has ruined my fantasies about several Asian models I had enjoyed. In the early 2000’s, I was a fan of Kaila Yu and Tila Tequila (long before she was Tila Tequila – when she was an attractive, 19 year old model named Tila Nguyen). MTV managed to ruin my attraction to both of them. First, by featuring Kaila Yu on their dating show in 2002 (I think it was called “Dismissed”) and next by featuring Tila in the nauseating series “A Shot at Love.” How many more Asian women are you going to ruin for me?I’m all for seeing more Asian women on television. In fact, I wouldn’t mind more Asian women in every form of media. But MTV needs to stop taking the most beautiful Asian models and putting them on their poorly produced, ill thought out teeny bopper shows, thus destroying the fantasies I have about them as elegant and high class models that only I (and the readers of Asian Sirens) appreciate. And I certainly do not want to see them dating other people. If you want to feature more Asian women on your shows, start playing Asian American music videos and stop trying to hook them up with other people that are not me.

Playboy is looking for the blogosphere’s sexiest women and listed some of internet’s loveliest personalities such as Xeni Jardin of Boing Boing and sex columnist Violet Blue of TinyNibbles.com. Some other bloggers mentioned are Julie Alexandria (host of daily “stock culture meets pop culture” vlog Wallstrip.com), Veronica Belmont (co-host of the digital technology vlog Tekzilla and host of PlayStation’s Qore) and Amanda Congdon (Sometimes Daily star and producer and former ABCnews.com vidcaster and Rocketboom host).

Unfortunately no Asian blogger on the list so it’s about time we will find the most sexy Asian bloggers for Playboy. Obviously the popular Singaporean blogger Wendy Cheng (aka Xiaxue) should be on the list but who else?

Former aerobics instructor Yu Mi-hee (34) started bodybuilding 12 years ago when she claimed she weighed 176 pounds and wanted to lose weight, but it wasn’t until just last year that she won the Miss Korea Bodybuilding Championship.Although still a small field in Korea, the 5′ 2½”, 112-pound Mi-hee is considered to be one of the top female Korean bodybuilders in her weight class. When in training, she says she works out everyday for 3-4 hours and in case you’re wondering….she’s stated that she does not take steroids.
