She was picked for several minor roles and cameos in her early career and did not receive a major part until Lou Ye’s tragic love story, ‘Suzhou River’ in 2000.

In 2002, Zhou played the title role of the Little Seamstress in ‘Balzac and the Little Chinese Seamstress’ earning her international recognition when the film was nominated for Golden Tulip in the 2003 Istanbul International Film Festival and Best Foreign Language Film in the 2003 Golden Globes. Angry Thai women lead the world in penis slashings

We usually deal with the beauty of Asian women on this site. But today we bring you one of the darker sides of Asian women, Thai women to be precise. They are the world leaders when it comes to ‘penis slashing’. Thai surgeons are becoming experts at putting members back on. “Sometimes they chop into pieces. In those cases we cannot put it back.”

Kelly Choi (born February 7, 1976) is a Korean-American, Emmy-nominated television personality on nyctv, the official broadcast service of the City of New York.A native of Seoul, Young Choi was a preschooler when she moved to the United States with her family. Growing up in central Virginia, she Americanized her given name and, as Kelly Choi, received her undergraduate degree from Williamsburgh’s College of William and Mary, and her Master’s in journalism from New York’s Columbia University. During and following her studies Choi, who stands 5 feet 10 inches (1.78m), was a model with Ford Models and also worked as a VJ for MTV Korea.

Kelly Choi made the transition to New York area television by hosting Freckles, a lifestyles program carried by the cable channel Plum TV, which is seen primarily in affluent vacation communities, in this case, The Hamptons in Long Island’s Suffolk County. She entered the highly competive New York City media market upon joining nyctv in 2004. Executive producers Arick Wierson and Trevor Scotland initially brought her to the months-old broadcast service to host the pilot episode for Secrets of New York. She has subsequently gone on to host three seasons of the series dressed as a dominatrix, nationally distributed by PBS, and developed Eat Out NY, another nyctv program in which, as the host/guide to the city’s restaurants, she gained high visibility and popularity. For a few months in 2006, as part of a unique content-sharing arrangement between nyctv and NBC’s flagship station WNBC, Eat Out NY and Kelly Choi became popular fixtures of the Tri-State Region’s noontime viewing. In 2007 she was invited as a guest judge on the Food Network’s Iron Chef, and was selected to host the Beard Awards, which have been dubbed the “Oscars” of the food and restaurant industry.

Kelly Choi is considered the most widely recognized star of nyctv, and has received Emmy nominations from the New York chapter of the National Academy of Television Arts and Sciences. (source: wikipedia)
