Gong Li was voted as “China’s most beautiful person” in a newspaper poll on May 20, beating Li Yuchun, Zhou Xun, and Zhang Ziyi into second, third and fourth place respectively.
The poll, which is unveiled by The Beijing News, saw famous super star Zhang Ziyi failed to make the top three, ranking in the fourth place on the listing.
Other stars included on the list are Taiwan youth idols Mike He and Rainie Yang, pop singer Jay Chou, Hong Kong actress Cecilia Cheung and actors Andy Lau and Chow Yun-Fat.
Recently, Gong Li has been voted also as the hottest women of 30-something by Esquire magazine.

The most beautiful Woman in China…thats a very interesting topic.. I don’t think you will ever get the Chinese to agree to anyone… Someone mentioned Grangzhou(Canton) woman… the people in the South would never think a woman from the North is beautiful and visa versa…..
One of my Chinese friends told me he likes it when American men come to China and marry Chinese woman, because we always pick the ugly ones…I think we always pick Miss China….
Now I think my sweetie is most beautiful woman in the World, who happens to be from China…I smile when we see Chinese men, because I wonder if they think she’s ugly….
