Natasha Yi Lands Lead Film Role

Natasha Yi

An announcement on Natasha Yi’s MySpace page on 25 July 2006 reads:

Natasha is currently filming a lead role in an upcoming movie called Thunder Over Reno. This action-romantic adventure will be released in all major theatres in the summer of 2007.

I know Natasha has been trying to break into acting for a while. Let’s hope this is her big break. Best of luck Natasha!

The Return of Gwendoline Yeo

Gwendoline Yeo

Gwendoline Yeo, who was originally brought to your attention by Marco, has recently completed a number of high profile projects. The most recent, a starring role in the Robert Duvall western “Broken Trail” which premiered on AMC last month. Here she is strutting her stuff at the premiere of “Broken Trail” at the AMC Theater in New York City.

There is not much out there in the way of high quality photos of the lovely Ms. Yeo, these are probably some of the best currently available on the web, and believe me, I’ve looked! πŸ˜‰

As Marco had stated in his earlier entry on Gwendoline, she plays the Chinese Zither. I’ve included a link of Gwendoline performing this amazing instrument, as well as an interview she had done for Asia Pacific Arts.

Moon Bloodgood

Moon Bloodgood

Actress Moon Bloodgood just made it into the Maxim magazine Hot 100 of 2005 list: she was ranked #99. Moon is of Korean, Irish and Dutch descent.

She was a Laker girl at 17 and has since appeared in a bunch of music videos, including Marilyn Manson’s “Dope Show”, numerous TV-series such as “CSI: Crime Scene Investigation” and a couple of (not too well known) movies. She has a breakout role in the Disney sled-dog epic Eight below.About her somehwat funny name:
Interviewer: Your name is Moon Bloodgood. Did your parents grow pot or just smoke a lot of it?
Moon: Moon is a Korean name, and Bloodgood is Dutch. My mom has never tried a drug in her life. She named me Moon. It’s not a pot thing. But she does like to call pot β€œhappy smoke.”

Anne Curtis – Filipina/Australian Actress

Anne Curtis

A friend recently told me about a lovely actress named Anne Curtis. At age 21, this Filipina-Australian beauty has already been in quite a few (mostly filipino) films. She was 13 on her vacation in the Philippines when spotted by a talent scout from the fastfood chain Jolliebee. If any of you are Filipino, or hang with Filipino friends, you know about the famous Jolliebee! Best of luck to Anne in her career!

Crystal Liu

Crystal Liu

Just got an email from John from Sinosplice who was bored this weekend and stumbled across Baidu’s ranking of Chinese female pop stars.

I’d like to bring one of these stars to your attention. She’s only 20, and she does absolutely nothing even remotely resembling adult modeling, but she’s definitely a cuty. I’m talking about the young singer and actress Crystal Liu (aka Liu Yi Fei).

Maggie Q: ‘Love Asia’

Apologies in advance for the screen capture quality – but you got to work with what you got. (editorial: capture replaced by youtube clip) Additionally this program went off with more stealth than publicity, making it even harder to cover.

Some three years ago Maggie Q participated in a project, ‘Love Asia’, which was dubbed a Sports Illustrated Swimsuit style issue dedicated to Asian beauty.Last night Star World debuted ‘Love Asia’ at the decidedly non-prime time of 11:30 pm. But for those of us who love Asian beauty, it might be worth spending a Friday night at home. Asian Sex Gazette’s full story (w/ more pics).
