Moviemaker Quentin Tarantino was bound and ‘stabbed’ for a disturbing new David LaChappelle magazine photo spread. The movie maverick is pictured with two naked Japanese models in the eye-catching photos, which feature in the new issue of men’s magazine GQ.

In one shot, Tarantino, wearing an all-white suit, is bound up on the floor by one model while the other attempts to kiss him while hanging from a nearby wall. In another, fake blood spurts out of his body and all over one of the tattooed models after he appears to have been stabbed by a sword.

Thanks to Curtis G. for telling us about this news and scanning the photos.LaChappelle’s pal Pamela Anderson turned up for the shoot and reportedly taunted Tarantino with a bottle of champagne, while the director was bound up in the photographer’s Los Angeles studio. (source: StarPulse.com)

Tila Tequila vs. Myspace

Tila Tequila

We’ve covered both Tila Tequila and myspace before (many times). Now, Tila has made news by posting a complaint on her Myspace page about their terms of use. It seems that they have asked her to remove “widgets” that link to an Indie911 Hoooka widget/MP3 store.
According to the New York Times, Tila wrote in a blog posting over the weekend that “the reason why I am so bummed out about MySpace now is because recently they have been cutting down our freedom and taking away our rights slowly.” I couldn’t find this on her blog; perhaps she took it down in order to make up. This story has also been covered by Wired and ZDNet. What really impressed me is the quote from Michael Barrett, chief revenue officer for Fox Interactive Media, a part of the News Corporation, showing that he is completely clueless about the business: “We probably should have stopped YouTube.” My guess is that Myspace as we know it will soon be history. Sorry about that, Sachiko!

Don’t Forget Our Archives!

As Robin is on holidays and I am busy working on some projects with a couple of real Asian sirens, things are a little slow around here at the moment. But don’t forget, we have an archive of over a thousand great posts to go through! We very often have requests from people for stuff that’s already here, yet they also complain when there’s nothing new for a few days. Don’t forget this is just a hobby for us – we have real lives too!

YouTube Blocked in Thailand

From this Friday to late Saturday afternoon, YouTube fans in Thailand found the site redirecting to MICT, the government agency responsible for Internet censorship in that country. Some users could gain access at one point by excluding the “www.”, and later the entire site was restored. Thailand has been known to censor TV and websites it deems offensive – when controversy arises over a blocked site, it is often reinstated, say Thai bloggers (via: Mashable).

Getting ready

In an ‘enhanced’ flat in Beijing, these Chinese women are practising pole-dancing. Instructor Luo Lan (in yellow shirt) has already trained 240 students that are now ready to participate in the entertainment-industry. Don’t you just love modern China?! 😉
