Visitors of playboy.com can now vote for the Model of the Year 2006. Unfortunately, nothing has been changed in the past few years. Just one asian model out of a list of 50 models: Susie Lin.
I was somewhat surprised to see good old Alley Baggett still on the list of favorites. Is she still working as a model or are they still using old film material?
It’s already a few months ago but Bai Ling, who was set to appear as Senator Bana Breemu in the upcoming “Star Wars Episode III: Revenge of the Sith,” has apparently been cut from the film according to NBC17. Ling, who visited the now-legendary fan line outside the Mann Chinese Theatre in Hollywood to promote the film, blamed her spread in the June issue of Playboy magazine for her ouster.
“I posed for Playboy and it may have been doing that which upset George Lucas (the “Star Wars” creator/director),” Ling told the New York Post’s Page Six. A LucasFilms spokesperson confirmed the cut, but claimed it had happened more than a year ago.

More than 8 years ago I started sunghi.com, a website devoted to one of the most beautiful models I’ve ever met. Soon after I started with asian-sirens.com, a site that became one of the largest sites for fans, photographers and asian models. It was also one of the first sites that started a Yahoo! Group, a community with more than 25,000 members. Daily discussions about and with models and photographers. Absolute milestones were the Asian Sirens Expos in Los Angeles back in 2000 and 2001.
Back in the late nineties asian-sirens.com was part of my life but it took so much time that I decided to take a break. In the past few years I have spent most of the time on my work, friends, my fantastic girlfriend and last but not least my two lovely daughters.
Two people have pushed me lately to start working again on asian-sirens.com. Lee from ‘down under’ and Robin from Amsterdam. They both will help me to build the site and the community up again.
