Meet Julie Ha. I learned of Julie through her good friend XOXOAMY. Other than being Vietnamese, I don’t have a lot of info on Julie except that she is 4’11” (1.5m) and from New Jersey. She has a website in the works, but so far it’s just a banner page with a note stating it will open on 1 Nov 2005. As you will see, Julie does not have a lot of pics out there just yet, but hopefully that will change with the premiere of her website.

Julie’s’ next appearance will be at Hot Import Nights in Miami on 10 Dec 2005. Julie and Amy are both featured in the 2006 Street Trenz Calendar.

Regular readers will know of my general disappointment with the new generation of US import models, which prompted a challenge from badboy for me to find one I do like. I am very happy to say that I have: Stacey Lee. Why Stacey? Because she is a true professional model (she has a pretty impressive resume), her face doesn’t look ‘plastic’ and is genuinely Asian in appearance, and most importantly she’s darn cute! ;-)As a child she was a national champion table tennis player, and despite all her modelling activities she now works as a civil engineer by day. She also plays piano and gu-zheng (the Chinese version of the zither). Although her web site has many free pictures, it seems she’s trying to save bandwidth so they’re all very small (she certainly isn’t a web model!). I found Merina Tram Vo (an immigrant from Vietnam, now living in Canada) on Flickr.com after Nik2 mentioned her in a comment on my Kyara Nguyen posting. There sure are some great photo’s on her pages! Check it out. (Do take your time, there are 1250! ;-)) She is on most of the pictures, so I wonder who is taking them… Some of the photo’s are quite ‘classy’ and Merina (as well as some other models) looks beautiful.

After I read her profile I am sure she doesn’t mind being featured on Asian-Sirens (and on my desktop). According to her it’s all about “Living Famously”. She even wrote an e-book about it: Get Your 15 Minutes of Fame: An 8-Step Roadmap to Living Famously. As you know, I do not like blond hair on Asian women. But I was really attracted to the fact that this girl is half American Indian, half Korean. I have never talked about it openly (except here if you read carefully ;-)), but I do like the ‘native-American Indian’ look. And mixed with Korean blood, this is what you get! According to her MySpace, she is “25%American Indian 25%African American %50 Korean 100% FOB”. Well, that doesn’t make a lot of sense to me… :-\Some facts:

Regular readers will know of my fondness for Vietnamese women in general, as well as my disappointment with Vietnamese American models specifically. So when Zamscan introduced me to this model (thanks Zam!), I had to do a post on her! Although she still isn’t as beautiful as many Vietnamese women I know, she’s probably the first Vietnamese American model I’ve seen (apart from Linda Tran) who actually looks Vietnamese – in other words, she hasn’t westernised her face too much with excessive surgery etc. And as far as I’m concerned, that should be celebrated!On top of that, she also has the best body of any Vietnamese American model I’ve seen (her trim taut body reminds me of Sung Hi Lee’s actually, with an almost identical boob job). Sadly however, after making four Playboy newstand special appearances back in 1999 and 2000, it seems she disappeared from the modelling scene. Does anybody know of anything else she’s done, or indeed anything else about her?
