(More) Wardrobe Malfunctions

A term coined by Justin Timberlake to describe the infamous 2004 Janet Jackson Super Bowl halftime incident, it’s only surprising that “wardrobe malfunctions” don’t happen more often, given the outfits many female celebs and models wear onstage and on the red carpet. Pervious entries on these occurrences can be seen here and here.

Above, we see Japanese-born K-pop singer Ayumi Lee head off stage for assistance after literally shaking off one of her adhesive bra cups during a 2007 lip-synced performance of her single “Wrongful Meeting.” Taking it in stride, Ayumi returned to the stage to finish the number after adjustments were made, probably realizing that it could have been worse, as some other ladies will attest to.

Jo Hyang-gi
Back in 2000, then little-known Korean model/aspiring actress Jo Hyang-gi appeared on a TV show where the guests were given daunting feats to perform. Hyang-gi’s challenge was to dive into a swimming pool from a 11 meter high board. Rather than dive, she entered the water feet-first, which forced her bikini top upward to give the TV-viewing audience a brief underwater look at her uncovered bosom. Even though this incident seemed minor to me, I remember there being quite a buzz about it afterwards and there was even some speculation that Hyang-gi planned it to garnish media attention. She denied that and was quoted as saying she’d even lost sleep over the incident.

Nam Gyu-ri
When she was still with the group “Seeya,” Korean singer Nam Gyu-ri (featured here before) gave her fans a little more than they bargained for when the strap supporting her dress broke during a performance at Seoul’s COEX Hall in December, 2006. Gyu-ri went on with the performance and even and encore, but she was reportedly so upset over her unintended exposure that she cried inconsolably backstage.

Yumiko Cheng
Even though it’s the opinion of some that these separate incidents were not merely coincidental bad luck, Hong Kong singer Yumiko Cheng has twice been the victim of wardrobe malfunctions. The first time was during a December 2006 annual charity show where, while attempting to perform a basic trapeze maneuver, her pants got pulled down, revealing her black thong underwear. She then fell to the net below, where she struggled to pull up her pants and regain her composure. She wasn’t completely successful at either.

Yumiko Cheng
Yumiko’s second exposure incident occurred in June, 2007 during a televised singing contest in Toronto. While she performed as a featured guest, she provided the event with a featured breast.

Da-ham
One half of the Korean singing duo “Foxy,” Da-ham (featured here) had some problems keeping her top closed during the filming of their music video. A faulty front bra clasp exposed her a total of three times before a wardrobe assistant came to the rescue with a safety pin. She reportedly stated of the incident β€œI have nothing to say about it. If you’re interested, please watch our music videos.”

Shizuka Arakawa
Hard to tell if she was unknowing or just uncaring about her “uncoverage” during this routine, Japanese Olympic gold medalist Shizuka Arakawa showed fine form in an outfit she obviously hadn’t worn before. More examples of why she should have fired her costume designer here.

Bai Ling
Since her public exposures occur far too often to be merely accidental, I shouldn’t ever bother to mention Bai Ling, but here’s a photo of one of her practically trademark nip slips at a Life Through Art Foundation event.

Keo Necra

[VIDEO REMOVED] 2010/04/01: This is a re-post of Keo’s article – which was deleted on the 25th of March at her request – with the original time stamp, and all links removed. See below as to why we have put it back up.

Watching the above video by Winnipeg blogger/vlogger Keo Necra (whose real name is Karen and who hates being confused with Tila Tequila) will give you a brief rundown on what she has going on and it includes her doing her impersonation of her mother, which seems to be a highly-requested fan-favorite. Her interview at Sandbox magazine is here and Twitter users can follow her here.

2010/03/31 EDIT: Now, if I would have written what I was actually thinking at the time I wrote the above, it would have gone more like this:

Just a humorous quickie to fill in a gap here. Watching the above video by Winnipeg blogger/vlogger Karen, who calls herself β€œKeo Necra,” and who seems to be under the delusion that she’s often confused with Tila Tequila, will give you a rundown on what she’s about. It includes her doing her impersonation of her mother, which was a funny bit when Margaret Cho started doing it years ago, but gets old after awhile. She’s got a friend at a magazine who helped her out by running an “interview” with her and of course, she’s the non-celeb Twitter type who “tweets” like she’s a celeb (are they called β€œTwits”?), but let’s just move on with the next entry please.

..but of course, I was being nice when I wrote it. Anyway, this entry and the subsequent garbage “Keo” and her buddy posted because of it, is what sparked Dr. Lee’s rebuttal, that you can read and comment on.

Sachiko’s Sexy Bible Readings!

It seems that when a lot of people first see me (or at least conservative types), they immediately think “when it comes to brains, she’s got great tits”, simply because I have big tits, and I am a nude model. So I thought it might be fun to really play up to this stereotype, and channel my inner bimbo, as I figured this would be a very funny and effective way to show up the absurdity of a lot of what is written in the Bible, as well as some of the utterly ludicrous contortions of logic people use to defend religious belief. Hence my new video series, Sachiko’s Sexy Bible Readings!

NOTE: As I suspect discussion on this topic will be very active, and the Doc doesn’t want to have to moderate three heated discussions at once, I have decided to close comments on this post. However, everyone is free to post your comments on my blogall opinions are welcome (indeed, encouraged) and you don’t have to register to post.

Motivational Posters

Sunghi Lee

Since the original “hang in there, baby” image of a kitten struggling to hold on to a tree branch, started appearing on walls over 40 years ago, motivational posters have been created to inspire us to persevere when the going gets tough. Demotivational posters have since shown up as a parody.

Either way, I’ve noticed that quite a few photos of well-known Asian ladies have appeared on Internet versions over the last several years, such as this famous shot of Sunghi Lee (above) from her 1996 milk photo shoot that she did for Playboy’s Book of Lingerie.

Eliza Escano
Pinay model Eliza Escano looking very defiant. This photo was the feature of this entry a few years back.

Francine Dee
I don’t know whether or not she can bake, but Francine Dee is considered by many to be “Queen of the Import Scene.”

Grace Park
Korean-American actress Grace Park was first featured here.

Hwang Mi-hee
Korean model Hwang Mi-hee

Jeon Ji-hyun
Korean actress Jeon Ji-hyun (aka Gianna Jun) in a still for a Giordano clothing ad. The commercial with her that ran around the same time as this, was actually banned from Korean network television as it was deemed too racy.

Jewelry
These “Asian cheerleaders” are actually Korean singing group Jewelry. From left to right: Park Jung-ah, Ha Joo-yeon, Seo In-young, and Kim Eun-jung.

Jarah Mariano
Model Jarah Mariano

Mai Hagawara
Causing you to question your heterosexuality in this one is JAV idol Mai Hagawara

Olivia Munn
Looking great in this cosplay outfit, the sexy co-host of G4TV’s “Attack of the Show” has been featured here.

Reon Kadena
This Asian girl “Hulking” her shirt is Japanese gravure idol Reon Kadena.

Aki Hoshino
This shot of Japanese gravure idol Aki Hoshino is from the ceremonial first pitch she threw at the opening of a 2006 Yokohama Bay Stars – Hanshin Tigers game.

Papillon Soo Soo
The poster girl in this one, English-born actress Papillion Soo Soo, also gets credit for speaking a similar, now-(in)famous line from the 1987 movie Full Metal Jacket, which this still is from. Click the play button below to hear the actual line:
