Miss Tibet: Tenzin Dolma

With Tibet in the news again, I thought it would be appropriate to feature Miss Tibet!

After going through seven rounds of competition in three days, 21-year-old Tenzin Dolma from Dharamsala, the seat of the Tibetan Government-in-Exile, was crowned Miss Tibet 2007 last year. Miss Dolma is the first contestant from Dharamsala since the first edition of the Tibetan beauty pageant was launched in 2002.A part-time model and a call centre executive based in Delhi, Miss Dolma had to resign from the latter one to participate in the beauty pageant. Miss Tibet 2006, Tsering Chungdak, crowned Tenzin Dolma and was presented a scholarship cheque of Rupees 100 000 by Mr Wangyal.

β€œI am now no longer an individual but, have a bigger responsibility for myself and for the larger cause of Tibet” Miss Dolma said after winning the title. She intends to use the title to promote Tibet issue.

  1. So, I gotta go to Tibet, because I’m the Chosen One. Why can’t anybody choose me to go to the Bahamas?

I hear it’s really cold in Tibet, and I don’t like the cold. Why don’t we just stay here? Me and you, stay here, all weekend long. Under the covers, and watching television, and sweating, and smiling, and everything.

Nepal! N-E-P-A-L! Viva Nepal! Viva Nepal!

  2. I have to admit there was something refreshing about that piece. These girls may not all be raving beauties, but some were quite attractive, IMO. A bonus, to me, was the lack of silicone enhanced, surgically altered bimbo types you see in most of these contests.

Plus, they actually seemed like they just might be real human beings with, you know, brains and personalities. For me, that is a HUGE turn-on.

BRAVO! to the girls from Tibet.

  3. I just can’t stand foreign rap music, or any rap for that matter, like the music in the second video. It’s just so darn corny. The girls are ok though.

  4. “You’re breaking my heart a$$-wipe…”

    Haha! I LOVE that movie!

That was a hell of a knife too. I wonder if they have replicas around somewhere. I know that it is based on a Phurba but I can’t even find any real pictures of it on the internet. All I can find is the one from The Shadow. Poop!

  5. Only 5 contestants, they r lacking of talented girls I think. Would Dalai Lama proud of this Contest??

  6. If he disapproved, I doubt they would have had it!

I think these girls are great: smart, real, and natural. We’ve gone overboard on this site with all the import models & porn “stars”.

  7. I thought that the Dalai Lama is to the right of the Pope on sexual morality, so he would not like a pagent in which girls strip to their undies. Well none other than Wikipedia (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Miss_Tibet) has proved me wrong — sort of. They say that the lama has approved the pagent, but the citation they give for that vectors you to the Miss Tibet website (http://www.misstibet.com/). There we learn that the winner is a big fan of the lama, but no information on whether the feeling is mutual.

At any rate, I imagine the lama has bigger fish to fry right now. Oh that’s right he’s a vegetarian, but you catch my drift.

  8. I wasn’t aware you could go overboard on import models & porn “stars”. I know I can’t. πŸ™‚

  9. Dalai Lama would definitely protest once he sees this. But things have changed over the last ten years. Tibetans aren’t as conservative as before.

  10. As if it wasnt bad enough that youporn is banned in China, now they have banned youtube!

Cant believe the double standards when it comes to China. Myanmar had a crack down on protests and leaders from around the world called for more sanctions, worldwide condemnation and emergency sessions of the security counsel.

China does the same thing and world leaders call for restraint.

    HYPOCRITES!!!

  11. These Tibetan girls really seem genuine and cute. Tenzin has some nice curves and ass, and the youth for sure is getting more liberal. It shows also, with the protests.

Btw, Tenzin and Dolma are so common there? 2 of the contestants share them.

Btw, there was this beautiful indian-tibetan girl who was an actress on ‘Seven years in Tibet’. Lhakpa_Tsamchoe:

  12. Lovely Tibetian ladies.

China and Myanmar are on the same boat when it comes to clamping down on peaceful protesters that simply wanted more freedom.

  13. The future is now. I’ve seen some lovely Tibetan girls here. Maybe I should join their local protests and meet one.

Tenzin(g) is like Smith…very common name.
