Sung Hi in Nurse Betty
Sung Hi booked a small role in the movie
Nurse Betty.
This new comedy, that is directed by Neil LaBute (Your Friends & Neighbors,
In the Company of Men), featured Chris Rock, Renée Zellweger, Morgan Freeman and
Greg Kinnear. Nurse Betty which is still in production in Los Angeles (started on
December 7, 1998) may still be released in the Fall of 1999 though it also has a
tentative release date of Summer 2000.Nurse Betty is made with the same cynical tone as Neil LaBute's previous films. After witnessing her husband being brutally murdered by a couple of drug dealers (Morgan Freeman, Chris Rock), a Kansas waitress (Renée Zellweger) has a breakdown. She decides that her favorite character on her favorite soap opera (Greg Kinnear) is her long-lost fiance, and races to Hollywood to find him, with the drug dealers hot on her trail. Sung Hi is playing a soap star in this movie.
